Special Challenge

Working near an active war zone called for special security arrangements and interface with the military transport teams in Iraq. The shipping in and out went without a hitch and The Colbert Report broadcast for a week in Iraq, cheering up the troops with their presence. The first show included a call-in from then President Obama who encouraged Colbert to get a military haircut, which he then did. This was the first time the show had been taken on the road outside their New York studio.
